Energy Efficiency and Demand Side Management
Energy Efficiency
Energy efficiency means using less energy to achieve the same result. By reducing energy waste through technologies like LED lighting, smart controls, high-efficiency appliances, and improved insulation, energy efficiency lowers consumption, cuts costs, and reduces carbon emissions—making every unit of energy go further.

Demand Side Management
Demand Side Management (DSM) involves strategies to reduce or shift electricity use at the customer level to improve efficiency and balance supply and demand. By using automation, smart controls, and load-shifting techniques, DSM helps lower energy costs, reduce peak demand, and enhance grid reliability—making energy systems more responsive and sustainable.
NovaGrid reduces energy costs by embedding energy efficiency measures and demand-side management directly into our microgrid designs. We deploy smart, interoperable technology platforms that optimise energy use across sites—reducing load, flattening peaks, and improving overall system performance. By lowering the energy demand before generation, we minimise system sizing and capital costs while maximising the value and resilience of the microgrid solution.
